How do i treat my athletes foot?
I know, its gross, but its traveled up to my wrist and is very visible. The antifungal is working slowly, but what else can help my Athletes Foot?
Treatments for athlete’s foot:
Topical anti-fungal creams, sprays and liquids
These are put directly onto the infected skin several times a day. When you choose a product, follow the instructions that come with it. Most topical antifungal solutions contain miconazole, itraconazole, or terbinafine and can take up to 2 months to completely cure the infection, so continue using them for at least a few weeks after your itching and scaling has stopped. Common brands include Lamasil and Lotrimin.
Anti-fungal powders
Foot powders are a smart choice for getting your shoes and socks fungus free. Thoroughly apply the powders directly into your shoes and socks making sure you completely cover the inside - including the toes. Powders can also be rubbed directly into the skin, which is a very effective method of treatment as it not only contains a fungicide, but will help keep your skin dry as well. Foot powders can be used in conjunction with foot fungus sprays, creams and liquids. Athlete’s foot treatment powders that you purchase for your foot fungus should contain clotrimazole, itraconazole, or miconazole. Commonly used brands include Lamasil, Lotrimin, CVS, and Gold Bond foot powder.
Aluminum acetate drying solutions
Burrow’s solution and Domeboro’s solution both contain aluminum acetate and are used in a liquid solution that you soak your feet in. Aluminum acetate will reduce the moisture levels of your feet. Yay.
Home Remedies for Athlete’s Foot
Following are some home remedies that have been passed on to me to cure athlete’s foot naturally. Try them out and see what works for you. If you know of one this isn’t here, please share it using the form at the bottom of this page.
Bleach and water soak – Mix a small amount of bleach in a larger quantity of water and soak your feet for 5-10 minutes every day.
Topical Tea Tree Oil – Massage diluted tea tree oil into your infected feet, or add a few drops to a foot bath and soak them.
Soak your feet in mouthwash – Sounds odd, but many people recommend this remedy for foot fungus.
Pee on your feet – This may be gross, but human urine contains urea, which is already used in many over-the-counter athlete’s foot remedies. So, if you’re brave, pee on your feet when you shower in the morning or evening and let us know how it works.

Put astro-glide lubricant on the bottom of your shows and run on a tile floor. That should help.

go buy some good disinfectant and gloves and clean your shower or bath tub and pour bleach done the drain also make sure the drain is free of hair as all kinds of fugues can live in your drain , than go buy new shoes and socks white ones and soak your feet in bleach and antibacterial dish soap rinse good and than use a lotion for sensitive skin that is for fungus’s I’ve never had it but this is what my friend did and it worked and stay away from places that offer pedicure’s as they don’t clean out the tubs good

Honestly……………….pee in the shower, every time you take one

it might take a whille but it can go away this is what you can do is wash your feet everyday as your in the shower then get some vaseline and put it between you toes afterthat let you feet rest somewhere but later when you go to sleep wear some socks if that don’t work for you then jus wear sandels once in a while so your feet don’t stink so much from wearing shoes that make your feet sweat a lot so then everyday soke your feet in a big bucket as I said put some vaseline inbetween your toes you don’t have to soke your feet every day but let your feet have air once in a while thats when your feet begings to dry so go to your doctor and there really good with advice
also
Apply TEA TREE OIL (Melaleuca alternifolia) 100% pure Australian oil to toes and affected area each day after showering and drying well. I use a Q-tip as it smells like turpentine, and I really don’t want that smell on my fingers all day. It will conquer the problem, and I never stopped using it and it hasn’t recurred. I purchased the 2 Fl. Oz. bottle at K-Mart for about $13.00 USD (it has lasted since last June and I still have about 1/4 bottle left). Pretty reasonable all tolled.
You have to understand, you NEVER truly CURE Athlete’s Foot as it grows ad multiplies in any warm damp area without any notice, aka: our shoes. Usually we don’t have as much trouble in the summer if we wear sandalls or go without shoes.
Hope this helps.
see there is a lot of ways to cure altheles feet but some people just don’t know
